LTS Hockey
Learn to Skate Hockey
1, 2 and 3
  • Learn to Skate Hockey 1 is for skaters looking to eventually play organized hockey. The skaters will learn the basic maneuvers needed to compete in the game of hockey. In order to be considered for Hockey 2 or our Future Rangers clinic, skaters must be able to show the capacity to execute the following skating maneuvers on the ice; Fall down and get up, march in place, rock side to side, jump, walk and run on the ice, forward glide, forward swizzles, snow plow stop, two feet turn, forward strides.
  • Learn to Skate Hockey 2 is for skaters who want to continue to improve their skating skills and will also be eligible to participate in our Hockey Development Clinics on Mondays or Saturdays. Hockey 2 classes will involve skating skills such as; stops and starts, cross overs, backward strides, agility turning and pivoting with more emphasis on edge work and over all hockey strides.
  • Learn to Skate Hockey 3 Hockey 3 must be ages 10 and up, and have skating experience. Class will prepare you to join and keep up with clinics, and in house teams. Both Hockey levels 1 & 2 may be combined due to enrollment.

Future Rangers
Hockey Development
Mondays 5:30–6:30 pm
Saturdays 9:00–10:00 am
  • For beginner to intermediate hockey players
  • Ages 5 and up
  • Learn the game of ice hockey
  • Improve balance, stride and edges
  • Shooting, passing and stickhandling drills
  • Professional Coaching Staff
  • Players divided by age and ability
  • Each clinic includes:
    • 20 minutes skating drills
    • 20-30 minutes of shooting, stick handling & passing
    • 10-15 minute scrimmage
  • All Participants Receive:
    • Jersey
    • Certificate of Participation
    • Outstanding Instruction from Danbury Arena Staff!

High School Elite Skills Clinic
High School Elite Skills Clinic
  • July 9th – August 24th
    6:30 – 8:00 PM
  • Each week during our 90 minute clinic our coaches will push your limits to improve your power speed and control of all aspects of your game
  • Skating – Increase Power, Strength and Control, become more comfortable on your edges
  • Stick Handling – Improve your hand speed and control
  • Shooting – Improve Accuracy, Speed and Power
  • Battling and Checking – Become more confident in giving and receiving body contact
  • Flow Drills – See the ice better, anticipate the puck
  • Small Area Games and Scrimmages
  • $175
  • Walk on’s accepted $30 per class
